The Forsaken entry 10

Entry #10

Suishou's head craned around the shadows of the doorway as they passed through; closing her eyes to protect against the rays from the sun, before opening them to see the pot hole riddled alley and a green car turned on its back with the windscreen smashed to pieces.

"Now we need to get food for them..." Tomio sighed as he hopped down the final steps to the alley.

Suishou paused in place, craning her head up for several moments. "Maybe he can help."

"...Who?" Tomio sat upright, watching her expression. "You mean that trainer?"

"Yeah! He was nice enough to give us some food," Suishou beamed. "maybe he'll do it again for them!"

"We can't just go up to him and ask him..." Pausing to reflect on this for a moment, Tomio quickly turned to the alley and started down it with long even strides. "Humans don't understand us."

"Not true." Suishou darted next to Tomio, keeping up with his stride, hopping over a pot hole. "The human closest to a pokemon can understand them."

"For such a link, the pokemon and human would have to be together for a few years." Tomio stated matter of factly.

"Well, we're forsaken, and HE'S the closest thing we got..." Suishou eyes determinedly watching Tomio.

To that, Tomio just stared at her for a full 60 seconds, seeing the seriousness of her expression, chuckling quietly. "Alright, you win."

Before Suishou could say a word, Tomio broke into a burst of speed; rocketing down the alley, narrowly avoiding the pot holes and two cars that crossed the road, before staring at the tiny purple speck in the distance.

"We'll split up to find him!" Tomio called to her. "You take the East, and I'll take the west! and we'll meet up when we either found him, or got some food!"

"...He's too impulsive for his own good..." Suishou smiled as she started down the alley in the opposite direction Tomio ran off in. "Still, he's working for a good cause now, so I can't really blame him for being over excited."
