Entry #3
Two pokeballs waited on the cold floor. Glancing up, Tomio could see the expectant face of the trainer, and feeling Suishou's pleading eyes watching him.
"...No." Tomio said firmly, his tail cloaked in a dark aura. "We don't need your charity."
Tomio lashed viciously at the pokeballs with his tail, obliterating them. Suishou let out a small cry as the trainer hung his head in disappointment, but changed it to a smile with effort.
"I see you made your choice." The trainer forced a small laugh. "I respect it."
Tomio started walking over to Suishou, casting a glance to the trainer.
"You and your little girlfriend are pretty cute." The trainer remarked mildly, "if you would accept it, I have something for you."
Tomio glared at the trainer as he rummaged through his bag, placing 2 items on the ground.
Suishou started running up to the smaller of the two, nudging it with her nose. Seeing her interest, the trainer held it up to the light, revealing a small pink bow. "If you want, I can put it on for you."
Suishou sat upright, her hazel eyes calling Tomio, who grumbled as he took his place next to her. Smiling, the trainer tenderly placed the pink bow on Suishou, before tying a yellow ribbon around Tomio's neck.
"Aren't we cute?" Suishou beamed brightly as Tomio seethed darkly.
"We're not some trainer's pet..." Tomio sighed resignedly. "But if it makes you happy, I'll wear it."
Suishou smiled as the trainer took several steps back, watching Tomio and Suishou warmly.
"If you ever change your minds," the trainer started hesitantly. "I'll be more than happy to have both of you on my team."
"He's a few berries short of a poffin.." Tomio remarked as the two made their way down the alley.
"Why can't you ever accept any trainer, Tomio?" Suishou sighed sadly. "The nights are cold and long..."
"If we accept another trainer, he'll just end up hurting us." Tomio grimaced abjectly. "We don't need a trainer..."
